Theory
1. Recall the male and female pelvic viscera
2. Summarize the location, mesentery and blood supply of sigmoid colon
3. Describe the rectum, its relations, blood supply and types of hemorrhoids
4. Underline the role of puborectalis muscle in supporting continence
5. Compare the course of the ureter within the male and female pelvis
6. Describe the urinary bladder, outlining its nerve supply
7. List the location & function of different parts of male & female reproductive systems
8. Describe the shape, lobes, and relations of the prostate
9. Acknowledge which lobe is mostly affected by benign prostatic hyperplasia
10. Outline the role of prostatic venous plexus in the spread of prostatic carcinoma
11. Summarize the blood supply of the ovaries, uterine tubes and uterus
12. List the attachments of the broad ligament and the blood vessels running within it
13. Summarize the different parts and positions of the uterus
14. Describe the vaginal fornices, acknowledge which is related to the rectouterine pouch

Practical
1. List and identify various viscera within the male and female pelvis
2. Follow the peritoneum as it passes over the pelvic viscera
3. Locate and Compare the pouches of the peritoneal cavity related to the pelvic viscera
4. Trace the sigmoid meso-colon noting the structures related to its line of attachment
5. Follow the ureters and recall the three sites at which their lumen is narrowed
6. Distinguish the urinary bladder and its external and internal features
7. Locate the median umbilical ligament and name its embryological origin
8. List and Identify the different parts of the male and female reproductive systems
9. Identify the fundus of the uterus, the posterior vaginal fornix, and broad ligament
10. Compare the parts of reproductive system is related to ureters in male & female
