Introduction:- In practical cases faults rarely occurs on power systems at the generator buses. The majority of faults occur at distant ends for example at the middle of transmission lines, a long transmission lines,.ect. In these cases the total power transmitted in not zero. In other words a small power is send to the infinite bus bar, this power capability is dependent on the transfer reactance during the fault. This reactance is usually very high.
