Lecture 7 : Second design methodology: designer brain as glass box , 1- Methodology main steps: Methodology depend upon following sequence steps : analyzing, composing, evaluating, developing
2- How to solve the problem: Designer work on dividing design problem into several problems then analyzing each problem individually .
3 - Clear design thinking : Architect brain seems not like closed box but as transparent glass box, so it is easy to explore design mental operation and how design decision made through it. Make design thinking exposed ; 4- The sequence in design thinking: the sequence start from general issue to the detailed. 5- Decisions importance: the important decision will be made later but partial and detailed decisions made in the beginning and corresponding with how much information available in designer hands. 6-No chance for losing effort: 7- Relationship with client: interaction relation between designer and clients will be established, as the both will share declare the problem and find the solution
8- Client contribution in developing design concept: 9- Dividing problem and team work: 10- Analyzing step procedures: problem analyzing could be separated into the following Items user function and objectives – site location- function- expression
