Formation of the urban landscape(Town scape):

Urban landscape(Town scape): is all visible from the city, and is seen by the naked eye, aware of the sensations, and interaction with the urban body through the sense of unity, place and human experience, through several concepts such as harmony, integration and sensory and visual organization.

The urban form system can be defined in several levels:
A two-dimensional system, intended, the urban fabric at the level of the plan.
A three dimensional system, intended, the urban landscape and, its details.
Urban landscape, is the result of relations between buildings and spaces, and between buildings with each other, these relations include the city as a whole, so one building is an architecture, and two buildings constitute an urban landscape.
Elements of the urban landscape:

KEVIN ANDREW LYNCH (January 7, 1918 –April 25, 1984)
•He was an American urban planner and author.
•Known for his work on the perceptual form of urban environments and was
an early proponent of mental mapping.
•His most influential books include ’ The Image of the City(1960)’
and ‘What Time is This Place?(1972)’.
•In his famous book “The Image of the city” using three disparate cities as
examples (Boston, Jersey City, and Los Angeles), Lynch reported that users
understood their surroundings in consistent and predictable ways, forming
mental maps with five elements:
