Mixed convection flow and heat transfer in enclosures have received significant
attention over the past several years due to its wide variety of applications in various
fields, e.g., food processing, crystal growth, electronic cooling, oil extraction, solar
collectors, and thermohydraulics of nuclear reactions [1–8]. Morzynski and Popiel
[9] made a numerical study to perform laminar flow and heat transfer in a
two-dimensional cavity with top moving wall. Transient mixed convection flow
and heat transfer in a square cavity were analyzed by Mohamad and Viskanta
[10].
