The present study deals with buoyancy-opposing 2D
laminar mixed convective flows over backward-facing step
in a vertical duct using different types of nanofluids with
5% volume concentration nanoparticles of Au, Ag, Al2O3,
Cu, CuO, diamond, SiO2, and TiO2. Results of interests
such as total temperature and velocity vectors, velocity distribution,
Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient for
different nanofluids are reported to illustrate the effect of
buoyancy-opposing force on these parameters.
